Lake Keomah State Park
Lake Keomah State Park is 366 acres of beautiful woods and water. Lovely shaded picnic areas are nestled between the arms of the 84 acre man-made lake.
Lake Keomah has an unsupervised swimming beach. A section of the lake shoreline is designated for 24-hour fishing and a fishing jetty is available on the west shoreline accessible to persons of varying abilities. Ice fishing is popular in the winter.
Hikers along the park's scenic hiking and nature trails may catch a glimpse of bullfrogs blowing and puffing bass solos, a great blue heron wading in the shallows in search of minnows, or a covey of quail rising at the approach of human footsteps. In the fall, the lake is surrounded by a mass of color from a variety of trees and shrubs.
Lake Keomah is a popular picnic spot. Open picnic shelters are available for reservations.
Winter recreational opportunities include cross-country skiing, snowmobiling, ice fishing and a great hill for sledding and tubing.

Historical Village, Vermeer Windmill & Scholte House
Nearby Pella, "America's Dutch Treasure", is home to many historic attractions and architectural styles.
Pella Historical Village and Vermeer Windmill is a Landmark in Pella. The Vermeer Mill is a fully functional 1850s-style windmill, reaching 134 ft high. The Vermeer Mill grinds wheat into flour using only wind power and is the tallest working windmill in the United States. Scholte House was built by Pella's founder, Dominie Scholte, in 1847. It features original furnishings and household items from Holland and America, and colorful tulip and annual gardens.

Edmundson Park is 60 acres of beautifully manicured landscape offering a scenic ten-foot wide recreation trail. The park consists of a 1 ½ acre pond for fishing, an 18-hole disc golf course, 3 ball diamonds, an outdoor swimming pool, a large wooden playground, numerous picnic tables and 7 shelters of various sizes.
